ABOUT THE PROJECT
This Carlsbad property was thoughtfully reimagined to balance the addition of a pool with the family’s love for lush, productive garden. To make room for the pool, we carefully extended the garden into the sideyard by removing concrete and utilize every available space. Their love for edible garden was the heart of this transformation, and we made sure to preserve and reintroduce their favorite elements. Fruit trees now grace the walls, paired with ornamental plants and conifers, creating a beautiful evergreen backdrop for the pool.
The garden is designed to thrive year round, with pathways that guide hidden treasures-trellises and arbors for climbing fruits, vibrant planting, and areas that invite exploration. With the kid’s love for pollinating insects in mind, we added a pollinator friendly plants that not only attract helpful bees and butterflies but also enhance the beauty and productivity of the garden. The addition of the custom outdoor kitchen, patio and dining area has transformed this space into a welcoming retreat, perfect for entertaining guests or enjoying quiet family moments. Even Zoey, their dog, has her place in this pet-friendly landscape. This garden is now more than just a backyard-it’s a reflection of their lifestyle, blending natural beauty, functionality, and a sense of connection with every detail. A space where they can grow, gather and create lasting memories.
